Fundraising and Donations
We welcome all fundraising initiatives and donations to Dravet Syndrome Ireland. We are a small volunteer-run organisation. We do not have paid employees, and the charity is run by parents on a voluntary basis. All money raised is spent on supporting families with children who have Dravet Syndrome and other complex epilepsies.
Our mission is to support families and improve outcomes for individuals affected by Dravet Syndrome and other complex genetic epilepsies in Ireland. Fundraised monies allow us to support our community in line with our mission in three main areas; Support, Education and Advocacy and Awareness.
Money raised for Dravet Syndrome Ireland is used to fund:
The family support grant
The annual symposium for parents and caregivers
The annual family fun day
Guest speakers for educational event
Raising awareness of Dravet Syndrome
Keeping our website and the charity branding up-to-date
We will continue to expand on the supports and resources we can provide to our community with additional funds raised. We also use funds to ensure we are carrying out all our obligations as a charity and a company.
If you would like to start a fundraising campaign in aid of Dravet Syndrome Ireland please contact us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
